Anuj Dhariwal

Captain, Indian Army

Anuj Dhariwal, a determined VidyaGyan alumnus, has risen to the rank of Lieutenant in the Indian Army. Despite humble beginnings in a rural community, Anuj's ambition to join the armed forces was relentless. VidyaGyan provided him access to quality education, setting the stage for his success.

Inspired by a family legacy of military service, Anuj aimed high. At VidyaGyan, he engaged in community projects, fueling his dream of armed forces service. With unyielding support from teachers during his seven-year journey, he achieved 93.6 percent in Grade 12 and excelled in the JEE mains. Opting for the rigorous National Defense Academy (NDA) selection process, he triumphed in written exams and the Service Selection Board interview.

Guided by dedicated mentors, Anuj's training for NDA was supplemented by VidyaGyan's resources. He attributes his values to his educators. Anuj became the first VidyaGyan student to enter the armed services, attending NDA, Pune, and subsequently the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun. His journey embodies VidyaGyan's mission to empower rural talent as change agents.

Anuj's story is one of inspiration. He aspires to motivate others like him to pursue and conquer their dreams for the betterment of themselves and their nation.

Anurag Tiwari

Amidst the 2020 pandemic, a small village in UP, celebrated Anurag Tiwari's achievement: a full scholarship admission to Cornell University, USA.

Born to a farmer, Anurag shattered barriers, entering an Ivy League. He began at VidyaGyan in 2013, accessing quality education, mentorship, and personality development.

Guided by mentors, he transformed into a confident speaker and a symbol of leveraging education for transformation. Scoring 98.2% in Grade 12, he now studies Economics and Mathematics at Cornell University. Anurag's journey epitomizes education's transformative power.

Shikoh Zaidi

At 16, Shikoh Zaidi ignited a revolution in her Hardoi district village in Uttar Pradesh. She defied norms to educate and empower girls and women about menstrual hygiene, breaking taboos along the way. Shikoh credits VidyaGyan with raising her awareness about this issue, fueled by encouragement from mentors who supported her.

Shikoh's transformation began in 2013 at VidyaGyan. Her teachers nurtured her fervor for change, exposing her to stories of resilient Indian women, inspiring her to create tangible impact. She conducted awareness campaigns in her village, persistently knocking on doors to discuss menstrual hygiene's significance.

Undeterred by skepticism from older generations, she screened films, organized discussions, and demonstrated proper sanitary pad usage. This led to an improvement in safe menstrual practices within her community. Her dedication led her to earn a full scholarship to Georgetown University in Qatar, where she now studies international politics, determined to be a changemaker.

Manu Chauhan

Manu Chauhan's journey from Akrabad village in UP to Stanford University in California is a tale of aspiration turned achievement. A son of an insurance salesman, Manu's 100 percent scholarship to Stanford for an undergraduate program in International Relations and Economics is a testament to his determination. VidyaGyan provided him access to quality education, enabling transformative change and success.

From a government primary school till Grade 5, he embraced education as his ticket to success. Nurtured at VidyaGyan over 7 years, his potential flourished. He achieved 95.4 percent in Grade 10, claimed awards in educational testing, excelled in debates, and even clinched a state-le+vel table tennis championship. Beyond accolades, Manu's heart lies in community service. His ambitions extend to empowering opportunities for Indian children through education and fostering impactful change. With sights set on the United Nations, Manu envisions a future shaped by his determination.
