M.Tech. and M.Des.

Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore offers admission to its four-year Bachelor of Science (Research) Programme in 2023. Students who will appear for the 12th standard board examination (or equivalent) in 2023 and those who have passed this examination in 2022 are eligible to apply for admission to this Programme. M.Mgt.

The BTech program in Mathematics and Computing is aimed at producing leaders who will be at the forefront of research, development, and innovation in futuristic disciplines and next generation technologies that require deep use of mathematics, computer science, and data science.

M.Sc.

The Institute offers new and exciting opportunities to Bachelor’s degree holders with a keen sense of scientific enquiry for pursuing advanced research in frontier areas of Life and Chemical Sciences leading to an M Sc degree. These 2 years Master’s degree programs consist of foundational and flexible coursework and hands-on laboratory training. The design is aimed to develop experimental skills in advanced techniques for research, leading to an independent thesis research project. Students enrolled in the M Sc programs can personalize their coursework and research projects. Details of the eligibility criteria and admission processes are described below.

M. Tech. and M. Des. for Sponsored candidates

The Institute offers programmes based on course work: Master of Technology (M Tech) / Master of Design (M Des) for the sponsored candidates from Defence, DRDO, BARC, ISRO, NAL, KSRTC, BMTC, BDA, PWD, CPRI, ACIWRM:Water Resource Dept(WRD) GoK, Ministry of Water Research(MOWR) and Central water Commission(CWC) under DRIP Project. The Institute admits about 50 students every year under sponsored category for its course programmes.

M.Tech. (Online) for Sponsored Candidates

In keeping with India's recent National Education Policy (NEP 2020), the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, launched the Master of Technology (Online) degree programme, a fully online programme, for practising engineers and scientists. The degree programme is for professionals who are sponsored by organisations, who already have a BE/BTech/Equivalent degree and wish to upskill or re-skill themselves. The following streams have been identified as high priority areas for admission in the academic year 2022-23:
